Program objective

To provide financial assistance to States to support services for individuals who are suffering from serious mental illness or serious mental illness and substance use disorder, and are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Programs and activities include: (1) Outreach and engagement services; (2) screening and diagnostic treatment services; (3) case management services; (4) community mental health services; (5) habilitation and rehabilitation services (6) staff training; (7) referrals for primary health services, job training and supports, educational services, and relevant housing services; and (8) recovery support services to support gaining and maintaining housing;
