The objective of the County of Nye, Nye County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Services cooperative agreement is to improve public safety and security at and surrounding the Nevada National Security Site located in Nye County, Nevada. The financial assistance will provide the Nye County Sheriff’s Office financial support to increase its capability and to enhance their law enforcement presence.

The County of Nye, Nye County Sheriff’s Office will accomplish the services outlined in the Statement of Project Objectives to include the protection of any member of the public from safety or security events requiring routine or emergency response actions. Response time will be prioritized according to the nature of the emergency to perform law enforcement activities and as mutually agreed by both parties to enforce all applicable State of Nevada/County of Nye laws.
