Veterans Legacy Grants Program will provide grants to eligible entities for the purpose of conducting cemetery research related to national, State, or Tribal Veterans’ cemeteries; producing educational materials that teach about the history of Veterans interred in national, State, or Tribal Veterans’ cemeteries; and promoting community engagement with the histories of Veterans interred in national, State, or Tribal Veterans’ cemeteries.

Since its inception, the Veterans Legacy Program has engaged in 59 contracts, grants, and interagency agreements with more than 20 educational organizations and non-profits across the country. More than 15,000 students and teachers of all levels have participated in these programs
