    In FY 19, 1,134 children received benefits. The estimates for FY 20 and FY 21 are 1,284 and 1,266 children, respectively.

  2. 2023

    In FY 2023, VA paid a monthly allowance to 1,076 children of Vietnam Veterans born with spina bifida an average annual individual benefit of $21,847.

  3. 2024

    In FY 2024, VA paid a monthly allowance to 1,062 children of Vietnam Veterans born with spina bifida an average annual individual benefit of $23,098.
