In FY2017, the program anticipates received 141 applications and will issue 20 awards.
In FY2018, the program anticipates receiving 200 applications and issue 45 awards.
The program funded 28 individual projects.
Save America’s Treasures grants funded 42 preservation and conservation projects in 26 states. The National Park Service (NPS), in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), awards these matching grants to support the preservation of nationally significant historic properties and collections.
Close to $10M was granted to over a dozen non-profit, state, local and tribal entities to protect historic structures.
In FY2022, the program awarded 58 grants, including 33 preservation projects and 25 collections projects
Accomplishments include the city of Frankfort conducting interior and exterior repairs, upgrading mechanical systems and installation of fire suppression system for the Swigert-Taylor House in the historic district. Another accomplishment includes the Buffalo Bill Center of the West improving the storage conditions and accessibility of the collections of the Buffalo Bill Museum, Whitney Western Art Museum, and the Cody Firearms Museum.
