CAP continues to provide assistance to the DoD by utilizing its aircraft for tasks such as drone escorts through FAA airspace to military airspace, over-the-horizon radio relays for the Gulf of Mexico range, verification of no obstructions to all military runways, counter sUAS support, and range fire watch for multiple federal lands. In addition, CAP also provides support to FEMA using their aircraft for gathering imagery of mudslides, tornadoes, floods, tropical/hurricane, winter storms and earthquake damage.
