Program objective

This is a non-discretionary program. The National Guard Bureau (NGB) enters into cooperative agreements (CA) with the 50 states, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam (recipients) to provide support to the Army and Air National Guard (ARNG/ANG) in (1)minor construction, (2)maintenance, (3)repair, or (4)operation of facilities, and (5)mission operational support to be performed by recipients as authorized by NGB through operations and maintenance (O&M) appropriated funding.

    Improvements on over 13 facilities valued at over $1 million to include electrical systems, as well as utilities and general maintenance on all National Guard Facilities across the 54 States, Territories, and District of Columbia. Repaired and improved runways, training facilities, and barracks and housing for soldiers and airmen in training. Secured and provided administrative support, ant-terrorism activities, emergency management preparation and response, as well as the distance learning requirements of all entities.
