  1. 2023

    Marion County worked with the local municipalities of the Santiam Canyon to complete downtown planning projects. The planning projects for the cities of Detroit and Gates are at over 50% completion, while preliminary work has begun for the cities of Idanha, North Fork, and Mill City.

  2. 2024

    The Opal Creek Promise Implementation Plan was completed by a contractor to identify community needs in the Santiam Canyon. This plan will serve as a guide to create a competitive grant program to fund construction and non-construction projects for the economic development of Santiam Canyon communities.
