Program objective

The Policy Research Center was established to collect, analyze, and evaluate data to develop policy recommendations for the protection and promotion of the interest of socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers. The Center will serve as a public awareness center that will provide education to the public about the history and condition of socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers.

Additional program information

  1. 2023

    The mission of the Policy Center is to conduct research, analyze policy and make recommendations seeking to achieve equitable and economic integration of USDA programs and policies for socially disadvantaged farmers, ranchers, communities, and rural landowners.

  2. 2024

    The Policy Center continues to actively identify the needs and concerns of socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers to make policy recommendations and perform strategic outreach while engaging and informing stakeholders.
