Program objective

To assist farmers and ranchers become owner-operators of family farms, improve and expand current operations, increase agricultural productivity, and assist with land tenure to save farmland for future generations.

    Fiscal Year 2023: In 2023, 6,276 Direct Farm Ownership Loans were approved for 6,037 applicants for a total of $1,813,318,571 obligated.

    Fiscal Year 2023: In 2023, 2,429 Guaranteed Farm Ownership Loans were made to 2,169 borrowers for a total of $1,371,165,359 obligated.

    Fiscal Year 2024: In 2024, 7,001 Direct Farm Ownership Loans were approved for 6,615 applicants for a total of $2,058,639,889 obligated.

    Fiscal Year 2024: In 2024, 2,468 Guaranteed Farm Ownership Loans were made to 2,229 borrowers for a total of $1,485,764,734 obligated.

  6. 2025

    In 2025, 1423 Direct Farm Ownership Loans have been approved for 1370 applicants for a total of $149,212,830 obligated.

    For 2025, 1970 Guaranteed Farm Ownership Loans have been made to 1665 borrowers with a total of $310,760,417 Obligated (Current FY).
