Program objective

The objective of Organic Certification Cost Share Programs (OCCSP) is to provide cost share assistance to producers and handlers who are obtaining organic certification for the first time or renewing their previous certification. Organic certification is obtained through certifying agents accredited by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP).

    OCCSP provides cost share assistance to producers and handlers who are obtaining organic certification for the first time or renewing their previous certification. Organic certification is obtained through certifying agents accredited by the USDA NOP. In FY 23 the program paid out $8,267,496 to 11,810 organic operations.

  2. 2024

    In FY24, FSA county offices paid out $3,376,180 to 5,205 organic operations.
